FlexChords

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Amit, creator of FlexChords. As a guitarist, I was constantly frustrated by two things: 1. Trying to learn a song on YouTube, only to find chord charts in the wrong key or horribly oversimplified. 2. Existing chord-detection platforms locking basic play-along tools, tempo control, and transposing behind rigid subscriptions. I built FlexChords to make learning and jamming along to any song effortless, accurate, and interactive. It is still a work in progress, and I'm continuously adding new features as well as refining the chord prediction pipeline. 🎸 What makes it stand out? - No Hallucinated Chords: Raw ML chord models tend to produce erratic, rapid-fire jitter. FlexChords uses a custom deterministic music-theory smoothing layer that absorbs glitches and respects key context for clean, playable progressions. - YouTube & Audio Uploads: Paste any YouTube link or drop an audio file to extract synchronized chords aligned with the track. - Interactive Timeline Editor: Tweak a chord voicing, adjust boundaries, or split sections directly on the visual timeline with full undo/redo. (MIDI export coming soon!) - Musician-First Tools: Automatic Key & BPM detection and Audacity label export. - Start Playing Instantly: Unlimited access to all pre-analyzed catalog songs, plus 5 free custom song analyses for every user (resets every month). Take your favorite track for a spin at https://www.flexchords.com ! I’d love to hear your feedback on chord accuracy, UX, or features you’d love to see next. What song are you trying first? 🎶
