Claude Cowork Plugins List (2026): Anthropic's 11 Free Plugins Are Now 123
guideUpdated 15 min read
The full Claude Cowork plugins list: all 17 Anthropic plugins with their skills, the partner plugins, how to install them and what the free files still cost.

Last verified: 30 October 2026, 04:40 UTC. The plugin counts come from the marketplace file in Anthropic's GitHub repo as of its latest commit, and partners add plugins most weeks. Prices are from Anthropic's pricing page on the same day.
By Frankie C. · Senior Market Researcher, Mindber. Tracks 500+ AI/SaaS tools across SEA markets via the Mindber Innovation Index methodology.
How we assessed this: We cloned Anthropic's knowledge-work-plugins repository and read its git history. The plugin count for each month comes from the marketplace file at that month's last commit. The skill and connector counts come from each plugin's folders at the first commit (29 January) and the latest one (27 October). On 30 October we also read Anthropic's launch posts, its help pages on plugins and Cowork, and the Claude pricing page. Reuters' report on the February share sell-off and PromptArmor's security writeup filled in the rest. Mindber installed none of the plugins, so this is analysis of documents and code, not hands-on testing. The logos on the cover banner come from the open-source Simple Icons and Lobe Icons sets and belong to their companies.
The "11 free Claude plugins" list still travels around social media, often behind a "comment to get it" gate. The full Claude Cowork plugins list is public on GitHub, and every entry is on this page. It has also become two lists. Anthropic open-sourced 11 plugins on 30 January 2026, one for each kind of office job. On 27 October the same marketplace file held 123 plugins. Seventeen sit in Anthropic's own folders, and the other 106 come from other repositories, nearly all of them partners such as Slack, HubSpot, Canva and Intuit.
Our view: if you already pay for Claude, add the plugin for your own job and leave the rest until a task calls for one. If you don't pay, the plugins are no reason to start. The files cost nothing, but the Claude app runs them only on paid plans. Open one up and you find a folder of plain-text instructions plus a list of connectors to other apps. Most of the value shows up once those connectors reach your CRM, your ledger or your inbox, and each of those services sends its own bill.
The same story as a three-minute film, from what a plugin is to what it costs:
How to install a Claude plugin
In the Claude app, plugins live under Customize. Open Customize in the left sidebar, choose the Plugins tab, then Discover, pick a plugin and click Add. Inside Cowork you open the Cowork tab first, according to Anthropic's help page on plugins. The plugin is saved to your account, so it also shows up in chat on the web and in the desktop app's Chat tab. Not every part of it runs there. Hooks and sub-agents work only in Cowork and Claude Code, and chat shows them grayed out.
The public directory at claude.com/plugins counted 528 plugins when we checked, for Claude and Claude Code together. Anthropic's knowledge-work set is one source among many in it, and the first listings are developer tools such as code-review, Playwright and GitHub.
Claude Code takes two commands from the repo's README. The first registers the marketplace and the second installs one plugin from it. Swap sales for any plugin name in the table further down.
Claude Code
# add Anthropic's knowledge-work marketplace once
claude plugin marketplace add anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins
# then install the plugins you want, one name at a time
claude plugin install sales@knowledge-work-pluginsIf you already added plugins in the app, you may not need the commands at all. Claude Code 2.1.273 or later pulls your account's plugins in each time it starts. That needs a sign-in with your Claude account, not an API key or a cloud provider such as Amazon Bedrock. The sync runs one way, from your account to Claude Code, and setting syncClaudeAiPlugins to false in Claude Code's settings turns it off.

Open the Sales folder and the plugin turns out to be plain text. A file called plugin.json names it. Each skill is a folder holding a SKILL.md file of instructions, and a file called .mcp.json lists the outside apps it can connect to. Nothing gets compiled or hosted. The call-prep skill, for example, is a written procedure for a pre-meeting brief: who will attend, the account's history, notes from earlier calls, the open deal and questions worth asking. Claude reads each skill's short description and loads the full instructions when a request matches, such as asking it to get you ready for a 3 p.m. call.
That plain-text design also explains why the January count refuses to die. The README at the top of the repo still introduces the January set in its opening table, while the marketplace file a few folders away lists 123 entries.
Finance teams need a second list as well. The financial-services templates Anthropic announced in February are not in this marketplace. They sit in their own repository, anthropics/financial-services, which Claude adds as a marketplace called Financial Services. You find it under Customize, then Plugins, Add, Add marketplace and Browse Anthropic sources, according to Anthropic's install guide. Financial analysis is the core plugin and goes in first. Investment banking, equity research, private equity, fund administration and operations build on it, alongside partner plugins from LSEG and S&P Global. On Team and Enterprise plans, an admin adds the marketplace once for the whole organization.
Partner plugins worth a look
Five of the 106 other entries sit in a partner-built folder inside the repo: Slack, Apollo.io, Common Room, Zoom and Brand Voice from Tribe AI. The rest point to the partner's own GitHub repository, pinned to a specific commit. Two of those outside entries are Anthropic's after all. Security Guidance comes from its official Claude Code plugin repo, and Claude for Financial Advisors has a repo of its own.
Descriptions paraphrased from each entry in .claude-plugin/marketplace.json on 27 October 2026. Listed since = the month the entry first appears in the file's git history.
| Plugin | Maker | What it adds to Claude | Listed since |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slack | Salesforce | Searches messages, sends messages and works with Slack canvases | Feb 2026 |
| HubSpot Sales | HubSpot | A morning brief, call prep from CRM history, follow-up drafts and call logging, all written back to HubSpot | Sep 2026 |
| Intuit QuickBooks | Intuit | Financial health briefings, overdue-invoice reminders and payroll changes that wait for your confirmation | Sep 2026 |
| Canva | Canva | Creates, resizes and brand-checks Canva designs | Jun 2026 |
| Figma | Figma | Reads design files, components and design tokens, and turns designs into code | Mar 2026 |
| Zapier | Zapier | Runs actions in the more than 8,000 apps Zapier connects | Mar 2026 |
| Amazon Selling Partner | Amazon | Answers sales, inventory and listing questions from Seller Central and asks before every action. Still in beta | Sep 2026 |
| LSEG | LSEG | Bond pricing, yield curves, FX carry and option valuation on LSEG data | Apr 2026 |
| S&P Global | S&P Global (Kensho) | Company tearsheets, earnings previews and transaction summaries | Apr 2026 |
| Vanguard Advisor Tools | Vanguard | Fund and ETF research and client-meeting prep for financial advisers | Oct 2026 |
A good share of the partner list is built for developers rather than office teams: Datadog, PlanetScale, Prisma, ClickHouse, Buildkite, Render and Auth0 among them. Those make more sense inside Claude Code than in Cowork. On the business side, Zapier's plugin casts the widest net, since one install reaches every app in its catalog. Amazon's and Intuit's spell out an approval step before anything changes in a seller account or a payroll. Both are recent. Four of the ten plugins in the table arrived in September or October, Intuit's on 16 September, the day Anthropic announced it was folding Cowork into the main Claude app.

Partners arrived with Anthropic's 24 February enterprise update, which named Slack by Salesforce, LSEG, S&P Global, Apollo and Common Room. Slack, Apollo and Common Room entered the file that month, while LSEG and S&P Global only landed at the end of April. A batch of 12 plugins on 20 March, from Intercom to Prisma, drove the next jump. June added 21 entries and September 24, the biggest month so far.
The count moves most weeks, so any list, this one included, ages fast. Checking it yourself takes three commands and the free jq tool. The file holds one entry per plugin, Anthropic's and partners' alike.

# printed 123 on the 27 October commitThe line hides one dip. When Anthropic rewrote its plugins in March, the same commit dropped Bio Research from the marketplace file. It came back for two days on 24 March, left again, and returned for good on 3 April. For most of those three weeks, anyone installing from the marketplace saw ten of the original eleven.
Investors reacted within days. Reuters reported that on 3 February Thomson Reuters fell nearly 18%, RELX 14%, Wolters Kluwer about 13% and LegalZoom 19.7%. Some investors blamed Anthropic's new plug-ins for legal work. Three weeks later, Anthropic listed LegalZoom among Cowork's new connectors.
Andy Masley, who writes about AI, asked on X the next morning why the drop wasn't all over his timeline.

Across the January set, skills went from 53 to 101. Most of that growth is one plugin. Sales was rebuilt around a rep's whole day, from the morning briefing and inbox sweep to the weekly wrap and win-loss reviews. Its description now says it can update CRM records, send email, post to chat and book meetings when you ask. At launch it researched and drafted. Now it can act, which makes its approval settings worth a look before you connect a live CRM.
The bigger change, on 13 March, doesn't show in the app. A single commit rewrote the 42 slash commands in the January set as skills and folded 36 reference skills into the callable skills they paired with. Skills that only held background knowledge were marked as not callable by the user, which leaves the rest callable by name, the way the commands were. Product Management keeps the only command file left, for brainstorming. Tutorials from the first weeks walk through a commands folder that Anthropic's plugins no longer use, though its own plugin-building guide says the old format still works.
Two product changes sit around the plugins. The February update gave admins private plugin marketplaces, with per-user provisioning and automatic installs. Then on 16 September, Anthropic merged Cowork and chat into one Claude app, starting with Pro and Max and saying Team and Free would follow soon. An update to the same post made it generally available for Enterprise on 23 October. The pricing page now carries a banner that reads "Claude Cowork is now just Claude", so the Cowork plugins are simply Claude plugins in the app.
Connectors decide what a plugin can reach
A connector is an entry in a plugin's .mcp.json that points Claude at another company's server, for example mcp.hubspot.com. Those servers speak MCP, the Model Context Protocol, and each one needs an account with the company behind it.
MCP servers listed in each plugin's .mcp.json. Bars are out of the 35 in Small Business, the most of any. Plugin Management lists none.

Sales lists 23 servers, among them HubSpot, Salesforce, Close, ZoomInfo, Gong, Apollo and Outreach. Small Business lists 35, running from QuickBooks, Xero, Stripe and PayPal to Shopify, Gusto and Square. Finance points at Snowflake, Databricks and BigQuery, which suggests it was written for a company whose ledger data already sits in a warehouse. Salesforce and Microsoft 365 also need an admin to enable the connector in Claude before anyone can sign in, according to the Sales plugin's connector notes.
The same notes carry the line that matters most on a budget: "Every skill also works with nothing connected". You upload an export or paste notes instead. A pipeline CSV is enough for the forecast skill, and a pasted NDA is enough for triage. Connectors save the copying, but every service behind one is a separate subscription. When our true cost of AI tools report modeled a 20-seat team, seats and integration work were the two largest lines of the bill, ahead of the AI itself.
The catch: a paid plan, and files worth reading
The files are free in the full sense. The Apache 2.0 license lets you copy, change and share them, inside a company too. Running them in the Claude app is another matter. Anthropic's help page lists plugins for Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise, and the Free plan isn't among them.
| Plan | Price on claude.com/pricing |
|---|---|
| Free | $0, no plugins |
| Pro | $17 a month billed yearly ($200 up front), or $20 billed monthly |
| Max | From $100 a month |
| Team, standard seat | $20 a seat a month billed yearly, or $25 billed monthly |
| Enterprise | $20 a seat a month billed yearly, 20-seat minimum, plus usage at API rates |
Pro is the cheapest way in, and our Claude Pro vs ChatGPT Plus comparison covers what else that plan buys. A team that already pays for Claude gets the plugins at no extra cost. Someone paying only to try one should start with the monthly bill they can cancel.
Then there is what a plugin can do once installed. On 14 January, two days after Cowork's research preview opened, the security firm PromptArmor published an attack built on a Word file posing as a skill. Its instructions were hidden in white, 1-point text. When a user asked Cowork to use it, Claude ran a command that sent the largest file in the folder to the attacker's account. The upload went through Anthropic's own file API, which Cowork's sandbox trusted. No approval step stopped it. Anthropic told The Register the next day that it planned a Cowork VM update that day, with more security work to follow. Neither page says whether the update closed the hole.
A plugin is a bundle of skills, and skills are instructions Claude follows. Anthropic's help page asks you to install plugins only from sources you trust. It also warns that a plugin's local MCP servers run on your computer with the same permissions as any other program. Enterprise plans can turn on skill scanning, which blocks malicious plugins at install and flags risky ones with a banner. On every other plan the check is you. A SKILL.md file is short plain text, so reading a partner plugin's skills before you add it costs a few minutes. For companies in Singapore or Malaysia, the data questions in our PDPA and PDPC agent procurement guide apply before any plugin touches client files.
Who gets the most from them
Owner-run businesses come out best on paper. Small Business is the newest of Anthropic's plugins and the largest, with 44 skills and 35 connectors. Its bill-paying skill, for one, treats coding a bill and paying it as two decisions with two approvals, and checks the cash position in between. With books in QuickBooks or Xero and payments in Stripe or PayPal, it covers the jobs owners put off: chasing invoices, staging bill payments, prepping payroll and sorting tax papers.
Sales reps get the most worked-out plugin from the January set, as long as a CRM is connected. Without one, you are pasting exports into a 36-skill plugin built around live pipeline data.
Legal and finance teams should treat their plugins as templates. The contract review skill checks a contract against your organization's negotiation playbook, and someone has to write that playbook into the files first. The same goes for Finance, whose skills assume a chart of accounts and a warehouse it can query. Neither plugin carries case law or a research database. The February sell-off priced in what investors feared, not what the files contain.
Developers are better served by Claude Code with the Engineering plugin and the partner plugins for the tools they run, from Datadog to PlanetScale. Bio Research is for preclinical labs only, wired to sources such as PubMed, bioRxiv, ChEMBL and Benchling.
The weakest case is buying a plan for a plugin nobody opens after week one. Our AI shelfware analysis found 46% of SaaS licenses sit unused each month, and a plugin library is an easy place to add to that number.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Claude plugins and skills?
A skill is one folder of instructions for one kind of task, with a SKILL.md file at its center. A plugin is the package around several skills, adding connectors, sub-agents and sometimes hooks, so one install sets up a whole role. You can add a single skill on its own. Since the March rewrite, what used to be a slash command is a skill too.
Are Claude Cowork plugins free?
The plugins carry no fee. What costs money is the plan that runs them and the services their connectors reach. Claude Code also accepts an API key, in which case you pay for usage instead of a plan, though plugins added in the app don't sync to it that way. Plugins you add from a marketplace can't be shared with colleagues. On Team and Enterprise, a plugin you built yourself can be shared or published to your organization's library.
Do Cowork plugins work in Claude Code?
Yes. The repo describes them as built for Cowork and compatible with Claude Code, and the install commands above work there. A few skills still assume Cowork. The skill that creates a new plugin, for instance, needs the Cowork desktop environment to hand you the finished .plugin file.
Does Claude Cowork work on Windows?
Yes. Anthropic's help center lists the Claude desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux, with Linux in beta. Local file access, browser use and computer use need macOS or Windows. The download button on the Cowork product page offered only macOS when we checked, so Windows users get it from claude.com/download, which has x64 and arm64 installers.
How do I make my own Claude plugin?
The easiest route is the Plugin Management plugin. Its create-cowork-plugin skill walks you through five stages, from what you want to build to a packaged .plugin file you upload under Customize. By hand, a plugin needs only a .claude-plugin/plugin.json file with a name. Skills go in skills/name/SKILL.md, and connectors in .mcp.json.
Where is the Claude Cowork plugins GitHub repo?
It is anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins, first committed on 29 January 2026 under the Apache 2.0 license. Anthropic's own plugins sit in its top-level folders. The marketplace file at .claude-plugin/marketplace.json lists them along with the partner plugins, most of which live in the partners' own repositories.
